FuelMileageCalculator.com provides a free, browser-based fuel mileage (MPG, L/100km, km/L) calculator, companion unit converters, and a library of educational articles about fuel-economy methodology, statistical process control, and related automotive data topics. All calculation runs in your browser; the service does not require an account, does not require payment, and does not transmit your input data to our servers.
3. Permitted Use
You may use the Service for personal, educational, commercial, or research purposes, including integrating the published formulas and worked examples into your own products, reports, and code. You may not, however:
- Republish the article text verbatim in bulk without attribution, or use automated scraping to mirror more than 200 words from any single article
- Misrepresent the source of the calculation by removing the byline or the "Built by James Will" credit in the footer when you reproduce the calculator interface
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right
- Attempt to interfere with the Service, including by launching denial-of-service attacks, attempting to bypass rate limits, or scanning the site for unpatched vulnerabilities without coordinated disclosure
- Use the Service to train commercial machine-learning models on the article content without prior written permission
4. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, articles, illustrations, and methodology, is owned by James Will and protected by international copyright, trademark, and design-rights law. The methodology descriptions, formulas, and worked examples are released for use under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, which means you may reproduce and adapt them for any purpose, including commercially, provided that you give appropriate credit and indicate any changes. The site design, the calculator interface, and the brand assets are not part of the CC BY release and remain All Rights Reserved.
5. User-Generated Content
The Service does not currently allow public comments, forum posts, or other user-generated content. If we add such features in the future, your submissions will be governed by a community-guideline document and by these Terms, and we will moderate submissions to keep the Service compliant with our hosting provider's acceptable-use policy and Google's Publisher Policies.
6. Third-Party Services and Advertising
The Service uses Google AdSense to display advertising and Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregate usage statistics. Use of those services is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. The advertising served on the Service may be personalised or non-personalised depending on your cookies, region, and the consent signals you provide. Advertisers are responsible for the truthfulness of their ad content; we do not endorse, warrant, or guarantee any product or service advertised through the Service.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties

8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JAMES WILL AND FUELMILEAGECALCULATOR.COM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. 11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
